These were made of a material called Tuch, which was a heavy wool in "Feldgrau" (green-grey) colour. The original combat uniforms included 8 buttons fastened to the front and 1 for each left and right pocket. In early war uniforms, the sleeves were also cuffed with 3 buttons on each sleeve.
