Description: 1 RHIZOME Bearded Iris Dangerous Mood | Spring Planting Flower Bicolor Bearded Iris Dangerous Mood forms a clump of green sword-shaped leaves, bearing upright stems with blooms of elegant misty blue upwards petals and deep midnight blue, almost black, velvety downward petals. The bulb is shipped bare root. ❗️Please Note: Bearded Iris roots will arrive with the foliage trimmed and starting to turn brown. The foliage can be trimmed when you plant, but leave at least a few inches of old foliage on the rhizome. Build up a small pile of well-drained soil in the center of the planting hole. Center the rhizome in the pile, roots down, and then bury it about three forths, leaving the top exposed. The tops of the rhizomes should be visible; be sure to spread the roots out below the soil. Planting Bearded Iris too deeply may result in few or no flowers. Firm the soil around the roots and water thoroughly to remove any air pockets in the soil and gives Iris a better chance of strong growth. Bearded Iris Light Preference: Full Sun, Partial Sun Bearded Iris Blooms: Late Spring, Early Fall. Mid-spring blooms are followed by another late summer bloom for two rounds of colorful flowers.
