Soak the moss in water to rehydrate it. Sphagnum moss holds up to twenty times its weight in water. Be sure to use pure water if growing sensitive carnivorous plants. Super absorbent sphagnum is safe for growing carnivorous plants including sundews (Drosera), butterworts (Pinguicula), venus fly traps (Dionaea), pitcher plants (Nepenthes and Heliamphora) and more. Sphagnum moss is also used to grow orchids, propagate aroids, philodendrons, and other houseplants. Great for air layering or a propagation box.
