Description: This listing is for a raydiance ultrafact CPA system rated for I believe 10w, at 1550nm, with pulses of under 900 fseconds. This unit is listed as 'for parts of repair' because: -The system uses an ipg raman laser to pump the power amp in the CPA system. The cable that brings light from the ipg laser to the amp box has been cut - luckily repairing a medium power single mode fiber is easy work. I have a fusion splicer and there is more than enough fiber cable on both sides to effect a repair. I have successfully spliced single mode fiber carrying close to 1kw power with my fusion splicer, so this 60w unit will be a piece of cake. For now I wont splice the two bits back together just because it's a bit of a pain having two 50 lbs boxes connected via permanently affixed fiber cable. -I didnt get any cables with the unit. I dont know if any software is required to run this system (It has an onboard control computer and a flash drive WITH a flash card installed - fingers crossed it's good to go from the standpoint of electronics) but I DO know that cables aplenty are required. Since Raydiance is no logner in business (they were bought out by coherent) this would a project machine. I got this from a source that was unloading a lot of brand new equipment. some literally in the box brand new. The 'oldest' item with an hour meter I got in the lot had only 1200 hrs of use on it. Inside the system looks immaculate. No signs of burn marks (or other damage) on the output window.
