Description: If you are looking for unique and rare hatching eggs, you have come to the right place. These 12+ French Black Copper Maran eggs are from beautiful black and blue copper marans. NPIP certified, these eggs are perfect for anyone looking to add Marans to their flock because they’re chasing that egg rainbow! Also note- the color of these eggs vary by season. These eggs are a beautiful dark brown. I will not quote what level darkness as the same hen that lays a level 8 egg one day, may only lay a level 4 or 5 on another day. I always try to send the most beautiful eggs, but expect some variety of shades- picture 1 is a great example. Marans often lay lighter shades of brown in the summer, likely due to the hot temperatures. There are NO guarantees on shipped eggs! Fertility is tested regularly. Lack of development will be due to shipping and handling OR incubation errors. We cannot control these factors! As someone who orders shipped eggs regularly- it’s truly a luck of the draw situation… I’ve had good hatch rates and I’ve had zero hatch rates on shipped eggs. Further, marans eggs are notoriously difficult to hatch. Please do your research on incubating this breed. I never blame the seller for my hatch results. I ship all eggs priority (not ground) to help make their travels a little easier. I also add live embryo/fragile/no x-ray stickers and mark the box to be kept upright. Each egg will be individually wrapped and shipped pointy end down. This helps preserve the air sac. When you receive your shipped eggs, please allow them to rest in an egg carton, pointy end down for 12-48 hours. Candle the eggs and look for “jiggly” air sacs. If the air sac does not stay firmly in place, I recommend that you begin your incubation with the eggs in an upright position (pointy end down), with the egg turner OFF until you see that the air sacs are no longer moving inside the egg. You can then add your egg turner though some people incubate shipped eggs in the upright position for the entire 21 days. These are some tips from my own experience that I think may help increase your hatch rates on shipped eggs. Please, give your review of us based on your dealings, purchase, process time and communication during the purchase process, not the outcome of your hatch as shipped eggs are ALWAYS a risk!
