Item Description: This auction is for two old documents that were found recently at a local estate. The small document is marked "Received of Mr George ?? ?? ??, the sum of fifty seven cents in full of his Revenue Tax and County Levi for the year 1815". It is signed and dated 19th Aug 1816 and the name looks like Peter Law Shurpp or something close. The back of the document also has the Peter name and some other markings. The second document is marked "Mr John Busky, Sir please to pay Mr Benjaman Cox ten dollars and ?? cents for the mantainance of your child ?? Busky in the year 1810 & this order shall be your ?? for the same this April 26th. April 26 1811 Rec'd of ??, John Busky the amount of the above order in full. I cannot make out the rest. It also has another name that looks like Franney Jones and dated 1811. Both pieces show moderate wear with discoloration from age and do have fold lines. There are a couple of small tears.
