Description: PCGS authenticated and graded AU 55. Frosty medium brown and light chocolate. Lighter reddish tan toning faded down from mint color shows in some of the protected areas and this cent has excellent eye appeal. Just a faint touch of friction on the highpoints of the devices and a few trivial contact marks. A thin diagonal nick on the neck and a tiny, dull pinprick just right of the nostril are the only notable marks. EDS. The fields are smooth and just starting to show microscopic flowlines from the dentils, but extremely faint die rust (tiny lumps on the coin) show on the portrait. The inner circle is clear from star 1 to star 7. Noyes photo #37193. Comes with a nice provenance. Ex; James A. Stack Estate, Bowers & Ruddy 4/23/1979:198 - R. E.
