Fine period view of the Atlantic Ocean, with the United States shown, only at right hand side of North America, South America, Africa, and so forth. This was produced by T.G. Bradford from the very rare 1835 Comprehensive Atlas Geographical. This was the first edition of this important atlas. Rare, early, detailed and important period map of this area. Much has changed. Bradford was a highly regarded mapmaker of this period, well known for the beauty, detail and accuracy of his maps. The map is very finely produced, printed on thick paper, with superb period handcoloring, even the outside border is finely handcolored. The map is in nice conditon, with a very light stain at lower left hand side, if framed, almost all is outside of the map area, and if framed most would be covered, you can barely see it looking at the map.
