Description: This is a beautiful olive amber early pontiled Double Eagle historical flask from the 1840s....not sure if this flask was blown at Stoddard or possibly another New England glasshouse? It has bold emb eagle with shield, arrows and banner over blank oval on front and back.....Open pontil...smooth crude sheared lip....olive amber....rib up each side seam....7 1/2"tall pint size....It has a hard to see flash/bruise in the top of lip; Also a paper thin pontil flake on very bottom surface only from when the pontil rod was snapped off bottle; no other damage.
