As well as producing around fifty plays, contributing to several newspapers, and editing the comic paper Figaro in London, Beckett was also one of the original staff at Punch magazine. In this work, Beckett provides a satirical commentary on contemporary British laws, with a particular focus on the division of property, and the laws surrounding public and private wrongdoings. Lightly rubbed to the boards, with a little wear and discolouration of the calf towards the extremities. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
