CONDITION In a full calf school prize binding, with five raised bands and gilt tooling to the spine, gilt to the edges, Northern Church of England School emblem embossed in gilt to the front board. Externally generally smart with minor shelf wear, a touch of rubbing to the spine and extremities, minor rubbing to the joints, fading to the spine. Previous ownership inscription to the verso front free endpaper and recto blank page, dated 1940. Internally, firmly bound. Light spotting scattered to the occasional leaf, particularly to the first and last few. Illustrated with a frontispiece.
