Description: Up for sale is a great, colored ANTIQUE MAP OF THE PROVINCE OF MANITOBA, Shewing the Surveys effected to 1st March 1873 / CANADA - 1876. It is a very detailed map, measuring approximately 26 x 17 inches, including the border area. On the reverse side is a MAP OF THE PROVINCE OF NOVA SCOTIA and a MAP OF THE PROVINCE OF NEW BRUNSWICK There is a crease down the middle from where it was originally bound. It is from the "TACKABURY'S ATLAS OF THE DOMINION OF CANADA". Drawn, Compiled and Edited by H. F. Walling, C.E. - Late Professor of Civil Engineering in Lafayette, College, PA - Published by George N. Tackabury - Montreal, Toronto and London - 1876. Maps this early and showing this much detail are a great piece of history! Map is generally in Fair Condition. There is age related browning and toning and some spots and stains. The map has some small tears and chips around the edges. TSome other creases and dings here and there. Creases in the corners. This map would be a great addition to any collection and will look very nice when framed! Please note that while I have included a picture of the Title Page of the Atlas that this map was taken from, it is NOT included in the sale, as it is a reference piece to determine authenticity for the other maps.
