Description: It is an original engraved antique map in great shape with vibrant handcoloring and a beautiful rare vignette or view of Bordeaux. It is from Nouvel Atlas Illustre Geographie Universelle, c. 1880s. A copy of the title page of the Atlas is included. The atlas was prepared under the direction of J. Migeon by Ch. Lacoste, whose names appear in the bottom center. A Very Beautiful Map. Size: The map image measures approximately 12 by 16 inches on a 15 1/2 by 20 1/2" page with a margin of an inch or more all around for framing. Condition: It is in Excellent condition for its age with overall light tonal ageing. The map is very clean with no defects to mention. Overall, it is a very nice and rare example that will frame up beautifully. See the detail pics for truer color representation.
