This piece dates to 1886 and is made in the rare and desirable St. Cloud pattern, which began production in 1885. This pattern features a lovely design of intricate scrolled foliage and swirled ribbing. The tea caddy is done in a charming round form, with a round cap or lid. The underside of the caddy is monogrammed LFK, while the cap is monogrammed K in the center. The underside of the piece is stamped 'sterling' and with the maker's mark for Gorham, as well as the date mark for 1886 and the number 175. This piece is in great overall condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. Unfortunately we are missing the interior stopper or lid for this tea caddy, but the exterior lid is still intact, air tight, and a tight fit. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The tea caddy stands about 3 1/4 inches tall.
