The envelope is United States Scott #U311, the 2¢ George Washington stamped envelope from 1887 uprated with Scott #221, the 3¢ Andrew Jackson stamp from 1890. There is a San Francisco, Cal. duplex cancel dated December 18, 1890. On the reverse is an Arnstadt with an unclear 1891 date. There is a Muecke & Co., San Francisco, Cal. hand stamp dated December 17, 1890. This envelope measures 149mm x 86mm.
