William Trickett (1840-1928) was born in the English Midlands and emigrated with his family to Philadelphia, PA when he was a young child. He lived in Philadelphia until he entered Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA in 1866. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in two years. In 1876, he was admitted to the Cumberland County Bar Association.
