Description: Aubusson tapestry from the 18th century. This is a rare find. It is in good condition, given that this is a 300 year old piece. Colors are vibrant and warm, much closer to the colors in the pictures of the details than the colors in the picture of the entire tapestry. The lining is in great shape, as you can see in the pictures. It measures 220×162 cm / 7.22× 5.31 ft. Please look at images closely and let me know if you have any questions. As you can see there are sellers offering 19th and 20th century Aubusson tapestries for a similar price or higher than this one. Obviously the newer they are the better their shape. However the ones you see in interior design trends these days are not from a date later than the 1700s (18th century). Any tapestry after the 18th century does not have the same ‘patina’, the same motifs or the same color combinations. I honestly believe you would not regret this purchase. Thank you
