Description: Up for sale is this wonderful British hallmarked Sterling Silver miniature commemorative Coronation Chair/Throne. It is commemorate the 1901 Coronation of British King Edward VII (Son of Queen Victoria) who reigned from 1901-1910 and lived from 1841-1910. The chair is a replica of the Coronation Throne, also known as as the Edward I Throne of 1296 (the first monarch to use the throne during his/her Coronation...all monarch but one used this throne during their coronations). This throne is hallmarked on the bottom with the British Sterling Silver Lion Passant, the hallmark for London (city of manufacture), the date of 1901 and for the makers/manufacturers Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders and James Frances Hollings. It measures about 2 1/8 inches tall. It is in very good condition although it could use a cleaning polishing (we will leave that up to the buyer at the request of previous buyers of such items as this from us in the past).
