Description: Tough-to-find original ticket stub from the June 8, 1912, Eastern US try-outs (held at Harvard Stadium in Cambridge, MA) for the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. Jim Thorpe was reportedly in attendance at these trials, but did not compete. He had competed earlier in regional pentathlon trials elsewhere. The Olympic team was announced at these Eastern trials (with the team departing via ocean liner from NYC for Sweden 6 days later). CONDITION: Scrapbook residue on back; some other wear/aging.
