The two sets appear very similar and in fact have numerous near duplicate cards. An easy way to distinguish the sets is to look at the reverse. The text on the 1914 series refers to a complete set of 144 while the 1915 cards refer to a set of 176. While all of these cards are difficult to obtain in decent condition, the 1915 cards are slightly easier to find because in addition to being available in the Cracker Jack boxes, people could order the full set by mail.The Cards Measure 2-1/4" by 3", the fronts of these cards, like the 1914 cards, boast an image on a red background. The player's name, team and league are indicated across the bottom. The backs feature a card number, biographical information and a company ad. The ad on the 1915 singles differs from the 1914 cards.The 1915 print advertisement notes that there are 176 cards rather than 144 and also includes information on how collectors can send away for a factory set and an album.The reprinted cards in this auction are much easier to obtain, they are true to the originals, but much lower in cost.One 8.5x11" reproduction of the Cracker Jack Poster will be included (Folded plain paper inkjet printout).
