Description: On all 1916 DDO's the doubling is to the right. Well, on this nickel, the doubling is on the left. May even be triple stamped. I've looked at this for hrs and iam positive in my conclusion that it is indeed a doubled die, and possibly a new variety. I am going to leave this up for a bit, but in a month when I send a handful of things to CAC for grading this is most certainly going with.. Its definitely not a die Clash. There is definitely doubling on the braid and ribbon but I've never seen this variety. You can see the hash Mark's where the doubled ones usually are in the date. There is a straight line in the 9. And what looks like an obvious number 6 inside the six. I highlighted with some arrows. Sorry they are bad arrows. Feedback would be nice but no one ever leaves any. Happy hunting to all and if you haven't already please check out my store at Willy Wills Numismatics and more where shipping is always free and all prices are negotiable.
