Description: 1917 Zeenut (PCL) -FRANK F. HALL (San Francisco Seals) *Obscure Player*. Entire minor league career was 10 games in 1916 with San Francisco, he never made the 1917 team. Notations on back by noted hobbyist Buck Barker (I believe) The Zeenut series of cards was produced every year by the Collins Candy Co from 1911 to 1938, each set contained somewhere between 48 to nearly 200 cards and includes many players that were both future or former Major League players. The 1917 is a fairly simple and nondescript set that is simply a sepia color set with the background being removed, an obviously unpopular move as the following season they made a similar set BUT they added a very good-looking red border.
