Description: UNCOMMON HARDCOVER FIRST EDITION WITH NO JACKET, PRINTED IN 1919. OVERALL CONDITION IS VERY GOOD WITH WELL MAINTAINED GILT TOP PAGE EDGES. SPINE COVER HAS FADING ALONG WITH FADING TO TITLES ON SPINE. INTERIOR HAS AGE RELATED PAPER TONING. TITLE PAGE/COPYRIGHT PAGE APPEARS TO HAVE A SHORT CLOSED TEAR ON BOTTOM WITH MINOR SURFACE PAPER LOSS ON COPYRIGHT PAGE SIDE OF THAT LEAF IN THAT LOCATION. (PHOTO 2 & 3 BOTTOM). If it is a closed tear then it seems likely that there is another short closed tear (PHOTO 12) on the bottom of the half title page. THERE ARE NO OTHER SUGGESTIONS OF TEARS. THIS IS A ROUGH CUT BOOK WITH ROUGH PAGE EDGES ALONG LONG SIDE AND BOTTOM EDGES AND IT IS POSSIBLE THAT A FEW LEAVES IN THE FRONT WERE UNSEPARATED AT THE TIME OF DISTRIBUTION. OVERALL CONDITION OF THIS SCARCE BOOK IS VERY GOOD WITH NO WRITING AND NO HARD CREASES. As finding an actual copy of this book is very difficult, finding a review was even harder. I did find a single sentence as a description of this book on "The David Belasco Page", which describes this book as: (The Wizard's own amusingly orotund pronouncements on such subjects as advice to aspiring actors, the rehearsal process, and working with children. Illustrated.) PLEASE USE ZOOM FUNCTION ON ALL PHOTOS AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. All international shipping is handled by ebay and I do not have any input on cost. BS x
