Here is a vintage Hornby O gauge train. This O gauge 0-4-0 engine is from BEFORE World War 2. I believe this unit to have been produced 1922-23. There is no tender with this engine. We DO have a different tender that would work for this engine available in our other listings. I believe this one is considered a Type O style which was originally called a Zulu (earlier versions had Zulu decal on side). This model was produced with different variations. This one: Lever for braking/winding/running Lever for REVERSE Black version Embossed Hornby on boiler front Thick wire handrails Brass dome Brass numberplate "2710" Gold with red trim "Meccano Limited LIVERPOOL" decal on one side Red trim on front under boiler front "MLL England" embossed on underside Clockwork With a key, may not be original but does fit CONDITION: C-5+. Tested and runs. Reverse and brake work. Hand levers works. Runs both directions. Windup works. Key seems vintage, but I do not see any manufacturer on it. Key has tarnish as pictured. It fits nicely but may not be the original key. Shell has lots of scratches as you can see and edge paint flaking on one side of boiler front. All as pictured.
