Description: 1923 Baseball Magazine-Original & Complete issue with a cover depicting Babe Ruth & New York Yankees owner Jacob Ruppert. Magazine is in EX-MT condition. This particular Baseball Magazine of Ruth and Ruppert depicted on the cover is tough to find and tough to find in good condition. I needed close to three years to find one to pair with the check. Below the magazine is a check signed (front & back) by Jacob Ruppert,(HOF) Ed Barrow(HOF) and Yankees top scout Paul Krichell. The check is dated February 29, 1924. The check is made to Paul Krichell who served as the Yankees chief scout for 37 years. Krichell endorsed the back of the check. If there were a wing of the Baseball Hall of Fame for scouts, Krichell would have been a charter member. Krichell Discovered and signed Lou Gehrig and later Whitey Ford. All three signatures are strong. The magazine and check are professionally matted and framed(UV protected glass). This is an incredible display piece for the Baseball memorabilia collector and Babe Ruth collector. The magazine is in excellent condition and the photos display glare from light.
