This railroad operated a number of famous "named" trains, many of which bore the name "Hiawatha", to include the Morning Hiawatha, Midwest Hiawatha, Olympian Hiawatha, Twin Cities Hiawatha, Columbian, Fast Mail, the Sioux, and the Pioneer Limited. For sale is a very rare and unusual item, a stock certificate for the CM&StP issued in the Netherlands. It is dated February 7, 1924 and is for 10 "ordinary" (common) shares. Included is a sheet containing 20 interest payment coupons. The stock measures appx 10x7 inches and is printed on mid-weight paper stock. The imprint in the upper right corner is the Dutch revenue stamp. It is in excellent condition, with no rips or tears. All writing/markings are from its issuance and processing. It has been folded.
