The die is dated October 1926 on the side and the Robbins Company ledger book (see scan) for this S/N A3710 shows it was made for Max Adler, a fashionable men’s clothing store owner in South Bend, Ind. The die has maximum dimensions approximately 1 ¼” x 2 ⅜” x 1 ⅛” high. The die weighs 15 oz and the condition is only Good due to a die crack around the design.
