Description: Extraordinary 1920s Art Deco poster for the French release of the Warner Bros. film So This Is Paris. Poster features scene with two speeding automobiles trailed by motorcycle police, a young bride hopping in mid ride from the “stodgy” vehicle to the sportier one piloted by a young man who is obviously her true love. The poster measures 46-1/2" x 64", At the top edge is the credit “Pathé Consortium Cinéma - Distributor.” Bright lettering proclaims the movie's French title, "Je N'Ai Pas Peur" (literally translated as 'I Am Not Afraid’). Monte Blue, Patsy Ruth Miller, and Myrna Loy started. iMinor professional restoration (mentioned strictly for the sake of accuracy) during the professional linen-backing process. Excellent to Mint appearance. EXTREMELY rare! This poster was purchased by me for personal use in a very prominent overseas poster catalog auction. Approximately 25 years ago I paid more than $2000. It’s a big piece so I especially have no interest in shipping overseas! Even though it may be most desirable in France. Though I think this poster has such a great display value and could be appreciated as a striking artistic Art Deco piece anywhere.
