1929 Shonen Club Postcard Babe Ruth PSA 6 Only Eight Higher Japan Sharp

This is a spectacular item whose desirability keeps increasing. This is a Japanese Postcard from Shonen Club of Babe Ruth from 1929. It depicts a game shot with Ruth in his follow-through. The image of Ruth, held close, is beautiful, as is the scene as a whole. This card is graded a PSA 6 EX-MT and I frankly think that's under-graded. The corners are sharp with a couple minor dings seen on the back. Centering appears strong and the card itself is clean. Perhaps the age toning on the corners and edges plays a role, but eye appeal on this one is great. There are 17 at this grade of 126 graded and just Eight 8 higher at this time, with none being higher than a single PSA 7.5 example, making this pretty close to top of scale. There are no sales of a PSA 7 documented either. The 7.5 sold in 2016 for a market adjusted figure of $11722 as of today. This is a solid price for an elite, scare 1920s Ruth.
