Description: This is a vintage original 1930 “World Events In Pictures” baseball themed poster issued by Elliott Service Company of New York that features baseball Hall of Famers Frankie Frisch and Eddie Collins at the 1930 World Series. This vintage original poster is printed one side only and measures about 21” x 17” with a large photo of Frisch and Collins shaking hands at the 1930 World Series with text that reads: Frisch Breaks Collins Record – Frankie Frisch, “Fordham Flash” of St. Louis Cardinals (left) breaks record for total number of World Series hits held by Eddie Collins, (right) now non-playing captain of “Athletics”. Collins former record was 42 safe blows. Frisch broke Collins World Series hit record in Game 2 of the World Series on October 2, 1930. This vintage original poster is folded as issued, has no tape of pinholes and was probably never hung up or used. The poster does have a very faint, almost invisible, trace of staining at the top and bottom center fold line and is otherwise in very good condition with just light handling wear.
