Description: Really neat large framed photo of former New York State Governor Alfred E Smith and party dated July 28, 1935. It was taken in front of the old Sterling Alaska Fur & Game Farm in Lake Placid NY, later know as Land of 1000 Animals. Below the photo it says "Former Gov Alfred E Smith and Party "See Fifty Alive" for the eighth time July 28, 1935". The photo hung inside of the building and on the back is a hand written note that says "#12 right of entrance sign-above". It could be an original press photo. The framed photo was purchased many years ago when the contents of the building were auctioned off. It is in it's original frame and mat (the mat has some damage). Measurement of the frame is 21" X 17". The peach colored spot is just a reflection.
