Description: 1937, 1938 Chevy and GMC 1/2 Ton Pickup lower column mount for aftermarket 2 inch steering Column. I looked everywhere for a lower column mount that did not require me to cut up my original floor! They were not out there until now! I designed this to be a clean easy to install part to resolve this issue. It looks great and the only modification to your floor will be opening the hole up to fit the 2 inch column. Clean installation and the original top cover will attach back into place to cover the modification. Once fitted adjust the column up and down to the desired height and simply weld the plate supplied to your column. You will still be able to remove your column if needed. Strong, Solid and solves the problem. Will work with 2 and 3 inch column drops that attach under the dash. I opted for the 3 inch with my tilt column, it lays the column back a bit further and takes the school bus feel out of it. These are built from 3/16 steel.
