Description: Beautiful little Swiss Watercolor! Village scene with the Alps in the background, a man leading his pair of oxen who pull a 2 wheel covered cart. Lots of vegetation, flowers, color along the road. Looks like late spring or summer. The watercolor is signed and dated. Date looks like 6 37. Name? O Haaging....can't quite figure it out. I searched and searched through the Swiss website that lists virtually every Swiss artist...couldn't find a match....A very skilled and talented watercolor artist! Overall Height 5 3/8" Width 6 7/8" Image size Height 4 3/4" Width 6 1/4" Some discoloration to the paper, a few spots.... I've had this for years. It was originally framed. Frame is long gone. Mat was poor quality and very discolored and acidic and frame was falling apart. I retained the backing with the framer's sticker. Located near Geneva. As with many things I have been listing of late, this needs to move on. After many years I still haven't matted and reframed it.... Being sold in its lovely and charming as is condition.
