This is the undated TROISIEME EMISSION-1943" five Francs currency note issued by the Bank of the Belgian Congo. The banknote is blue gray on orange underprint on the front with the image of an allegorical woman sitting on vine-wrapped Roman column with a child looking at a beehive. The front is in French and shows the serial number in black twice. This particular note has the serial number G168156 and has the overprint in black indicating it is "TROISIEME EMISSION-1943." The back blue gray and has the image of an elephant and hippopotamus in the jungle. The back has text in Flemish. The note has no watermark neither does it have a security thread. The note is graded Choice Extremely Fine 45 NET by PMG and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. The note has the notation Rust, Foreign Substance on the back.
