Description: Vintage photo WWII 1944-5 from US Patton's 3rd Army soldier's crumbling Photo Album. I have not found his name yet nor unit. A few of the photos are 166th Signal Photo Co rubber stamped on back. Ok I have now gone thru the entire album which was in chronological order. Starting out at 3rd Army HQ stateside. New York City on ship to England. Various rural England camps. Next photos are in France, then Luxembourg. Last photos are in Munich, Germany in July of 1945. There is a photo " Me, Munich Germany, July 8 1945." He is holding his rifle. A patch on Jacket and Corporal Technician 5th Grade patch on both sleeves. He worked in an office as there is a photo of him at a desk in Luxembourg. I found a large group photo of his unit stateside at 3rd Army HQ with all their names. Col W. B. Cochran, Lt. Col Brickson, Capt C.W. Flint are commanding officers. More research needed.Pretty sure the album belong to a S. L. Smick. A found a Stewart L Smick of NJ who enlisted Sept 15 1942 Had been a clerk / office worker prior to enlistment. Enlistment records show he was in the Army, Signal Corp. Some I left on crumbling scrapbook paper. Most have no borders. If anything written on back will have pic of back in the listing. SEE Size in condition box above..
