Description: For your supreme viewing pleasure is this rare vintage Leedy 14x18 Conga-Tom in even more rare Antique Blue lacquer finish. These debuted in the 1949 and this beauty has an internal date stamp of 4907 making it from that first year( July 1949). This drum is all original down to the Leedy calfskin head (which has a small tear in it and some tape on the underside). The original nickel hardware has aged beautifully. The clips are all in excellent condition, as are the lugs, and there's just one small spot on the hoop where the plating is lifting a bit. The antique blue lacquer is one of the most gorgeous and rare finishes Leedy every produced and this is a great example with some small spots that where touched up here and there. Very cool piece of Leedy history that shows beautifully and would be at home in the finest collections. This would even make a fine piece of decor in a vintage period room. Enjoy!
