Description: The program is in good condition with all the pages attached and no tears. There is aging and some staining. There were two Grand National races run at Dayton during the 1950 Grand National season. This program is the first based on the ad mentioning the date of the big car race that is coming in July. Pictures were taken of every page to assist with the condition and content of the program. The 7th race of the 1950 Grand National season was held at the half-mile dirt track in Dayton, Ohio. The 200 lap race at Dayton Speedway was attended by 12,000 people. The 25-car field was led to green by Dick Linder in his 1950 Oldsmobile. A total of six lead changes took place with Jimmy Florian taking the lead with 32 laps remaining to win his first Grand National race. Not only was it Florians' first victory, but it was also Ford's first win on the Grand National circuit. Florian got out of his car shirtless. It was a hot day, and he thought he would be more comfortable that way. Finishing second was Dick Linder, followed by Buck Barr, Curtis Turner, and Art Lamey.
