Description: Item Condition: Used, obvious signs of use (the white is not as white as what it used to be or its not toilet bowl white), has odor from storage, smells of dust or an older gentleman's woman's home, the breathing holes have a blue / green ring around them(not easily noticeable). Two tiny stitches are frayed, bill has rub marks / scratches, rope is also discolored basically brown now, buttons that hold the rope have some scratches. The AMA pin's are in good shape, One has appeared to fall off found the original placement returned it to that spot but have not yet managed to clip that pin back in place (Its the AMA pioneer pin that is lose, some photos don't show that pin because I found it after the fact.) 20 pins on the hat, 3 cover the word cycles in the Harley Davidson logo. The logo stitching is not perfect same as all of these the where made at the time in the 50's ( Looks like as if they all where sown patches by hand) Adds to the patine / nature of the vintage piece. Rare Harley Davidson captains vintage hat comes with AMA pins. Hard to come across, great wall hanging decor or if you choose to wear it that's up to the buyer. (Please do not buy it and wear it then return the item) I highly suggest displaying it on a shelf or if its in an area with heavy traffic placing it in a plexiglass case, keep it away from the kiddos and pets.
