Description: 1950s Vintage Mexican decorative plate charger by AMADO GALVAN 12” diameter. This is a gorgeous piece, decades old, from the area of Tonalá in the Mexican state of Jalisco. This is an authentic piece and it is meant to hang on a wall as a decorator piece. This piece is stunning, considering its age, its colors and gloss. This is hand-painted and handmade. The pottery from this region is “bruñido” (or burnished/polished) to give it its distinctive look. This artist is no longer with us and his work is difficult to find. However, his influence and style remains with us and this piece speaks volumes on his legacy and styling. For the price, this is a steal, but go ahead and make an offer. Free shipping to the continental US only. Other countries please contact me first.
