Description: 1956-63 Artvue B&W HOF Plaque Postcard (Type 2) -TOMMY McCARTHY. Clean back. Artvue made the Black & White Hall of Fame plaques from 1953 to 1963, previously the postcards were made by Albertype (1944-1952). There are two types of Artvue PC's, this is from the Type 1 version where the 4 bolts in the corners of the plaque are open, Type 2's have a baseball shaped bolt in each corner. Keep in mind these are legitimate baseball cards depicting HOFers made in the 1950's-1960's! Type 1's were made in 1953-55 while Type 2 Artvue PC's were made from 1953-1963 with the new inductees added along the way. Please see scans for condition.
