The cover is franked with Israel Scott #123, the 150 prutot Double Oboe stamp from 1956 and #110, the 60 prutot Napthali Tribe stamp from 1955. The stamps are tied to the cover by an Eilat postmark dated March 20, 1957. The cachet states that this was mailed through the Gulf of Akaba on the first sea mail from Eilat to Asmara via the S/S Catherina Madre. On the reverse are two strikes of the Eilat postmark, a Tel Aviv postmark dated March 21, 1957 and an Asmara postmark dated April 8, 1957. This cover measures 155mm x 100mm.
