Description: This week I'm offering a number of old non-sport cards from various vintage sets. In 1957, with the launching of the Russian satellite Sputnik, the world changed, and every young kid became fascinated with the Space Age. Naturally, Topps came up with a set to feed the demand, issuing a beautiful set of 88 cards featuring colorful illustrations and interesting text on the back. The Space Cards set became so successful that it was reissued the following year, renamed "Target Moon." It was reissued yet again in the Sixties, when Topps reprinted 44 out of the 88 cards with a differnt colored back (salmon/orange instead of blue). That's a lot of Space Age collecting! Here I have card #53, captioned "Spac Supply Depot." It's in nice shape, except for some corner damage and a slight stain on the back (see scans for condition).
