Description: 1959 Topps #118 John Buzhardt Chicago Cubs PSA 8 NM-MT Mint This is a High-end PSA 8 John Buzhardt card with nice corners, straight edges, and centering measuring 45/55 (L-R) in a clean, clear slab. Buzhardt pitched eleven years in the majors after signing with the Cubs in June of ‘54. He spent 4 years in the minors before the Cubs called him up to the majors in ‘58. His rookie year was completed in ‘59. It wasn’t until ‘64 that he had his first winning season with a record of 10 and 8. He followed that with a second winning year with a 13 and 8 season. Both years were spent with the White Sox, for whom he played six seasons. After two winning seasons he slumped, and ‘66 would be his last year as a starter. He relieved thereafter with mixed results and 1968 would be his last season in Baseball. Buzhardt finished with a lifetime mark of 71 victories and 96 loses.
