1960-1970s Yogi Berra Wilson A1310 Famous Player Special Model Baseball Bat

Description: Vintage Hall of Famer Yogi Berra Wilson A1310 Power Fused Famous Players Special Model Store Model Baseball Bat The legend himself – Yogi - was one of those rare players that played his entire career with one team – in this case, the New York Yankees. Yogi was one of the best catchers ever and later managed. He played from 1946 to 1965 and managed or coached until 1989. He was a 18x All-Star, 13x World Series Champ, and 3x AL MVP. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972. This is a great vintage Berra bat that is in good condition. Some surface wear from playing use. Several moderate sized indentations and gouges around the barrel with a few smaller indents seen on the handle. The handle is partially taped. The knob shows chipping with pieces missing. The knob is cracked and appears to extend down into the handle just a bit which is why the tape may be here. However, no cracks are evident outside of the tape. The lettering and engraving is in decent shape with some minor fading particularly around “Famous Player”. A small streak of something (possibly paint) right next to the “Y” in Yogi’s names. It measures 32 inches long and weighs 26.7oz. “32” marked on the knob. The issues described do not take away from this being a nice bat. These items can be repaired or restored. This would look fantastic restored! I would likely date this bat to the mid to late 1960s-1970s. A great piece that would make a nice addition to any great memorabilia collection.
