Description: For sale is a vintage letter from Playboy magazine. The one-page typed letter, on official Playboy letterhead, is dated March 3, 1965, when the iconic magazine was barely 10 years old. It was written by Walter J. Howarth, the magazine’s subscription manager, to subscriber Patricia Gilbert of Princeton, Indiana. Gilbert apparently had been accused of not paying her bill. But Howarth acknowledges that her payment had indeed been received, and apologizes for the “personal affront.” He vows “this situation will not occur again.” This letter is in very good condition and comes with its original air-mail envelope.
