Description: The rare 1965 card has visible signs of wear to include significant creasing and light staining. It measures roughly 5.25" x 4". Please review the pictures to assist with the condition and content of the card. The Marhoefer Meatpacking Company was founded in 1901 as the Kuhner Packing Company. The Marhoefer family would take over in 1945. Based in Muncie, Indiana, the company would aggressively advertise their sausages and hot dogs in conjunction with the local Indianapolis 500. These cards were produced as part of the packaging for their products. This unnumbered card features Chuck Stevenson and is one of 18 cards that make up a complete 1965 Marhoefer Driver set. Stevenson made 9 starts in the Indy 500 with a best finish of 6th in 1961. He was the 1952 AAA Championship Car Champion and won four championship races in his career. He also won a NASCAR Grand National race in 1956 at Willow Springs beating Marvin Pamch and Johnny Mantz. Please review the other racing items I have listed at the eBay store, The Checkered Past. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost. Thanks!
