Description: For more info and many additional high-resolution photos, visit dcsax.com! 1967 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone, s/n 145888. This saxophone has its original lacquer with approximately 95% still remaining. The previous owner was a professional saxophonist and professor of music. He had the horn recently overhauled by Bob Stauffer in Fresno, CA. Bob used black roo pads with domed rivetless metal resonators. The pads are still in excellent condition and have years of life left. My repairman just serviced the horn, ensuring that the pads are sealing perfectly. The horn feels locked in and efficient. There's some spot lacquer on the bottom bow which I suspect was used just to cover some areas of missing lacquer. The sax comes in a new/unused Bam case. Tenors from the 140's are one of my favorite vintages of Mark VI tenors, as they offer the best of both worlds. The tone quality is complex and similar to early 1960's horns, and the horn takes on air remarkably well. However, there's some added presence and projection that this vintage is known for. This horn can do it all, from playing in a classical sax quartet to playing a rock gig, and everything in between. US buyers are free to return the sax for any reason, provided you pay shipping and insurance both ways. The sax must be returned in its original condition.
