Description: This listing is for two (2) Norton Commando Aluminum Alloy Fork Caps and two (2) Stainless Steel Fork Cap Washers to fit any 1967 -1977 Norton Commando. These replace the OEM chrome plated steel caps. They are designed to mount the tachometer and speedometer. The fork caps are manufactured in the USA, the stainless washers in England. You will receive a total of four (4) Norton Parts in this kit. Two (2) alloy fork caps (06.0345) and two (2) stainless steel fork cap washers (06.7511). Supply at this time is limited. These alloy caps and washers are also weatherproof. The washers are beveled on the top end. This kit will fit all models of the Norton Commando from 1967-1977. We have the Norton fork cap wrench, stainless steel fork nuts and alloy "non instrument" fork caps listed. Supply is limited. NOTE: Be extremely careful when installing these nuts. The material is much softer than the standard steel nuts, therefore make certain the inner threads of your fork tubes are clean. Use a wire wheel on the end of a drill to clean the threads. Check for any burred threads in the fork tubes and rod. Lubricate the inner threads and rod with oil. During installation (to avoid rounded edges on the new nuts) make certain you have the proper size socket or wrench. We list the wrench in our eBay store.
