Lenin at the GOELRO Map" is a painting by Ukrainian artist Leonid Shmatko, written in 1957. Brief description: the canvas depicts Lenin proposing a plan for the electrification of Russia at the VIII All-Russian Congress of Soviets in December 1920. For clarity, a huge map was installed in the Bolshoi Theater, where the congress was held, on which 30 power plants were marked - a prototype of the future unified energy system of the country. In addition to Lenin, the painting depicts, for example, Gleb Krzhizhanovsky, venerable old specialists and wounded veterans of the Civil War. Electrification becomes their common cause, and the leader is in the center of the composition. The painting is in the collection of the State Historical Museum.
