This vintage Rogers Powertone snare features a thin five ply maple shell, a classic beavertail 8-lug profile, meaty 2.3mm chrome hoops, an adjustable dampener, and a throw-off that is so completely dependable it took nearly 50 years to build one as good that costs way too much compared to what a Rogers throw off cost in '60s. This American-made snare delivers a consistent response to the edge of the drum at any playing level. One of the finest American snare drums to have ever been produced...if this snare drum does not inspire some passion in your playing, then god help ya! Cosmetic and Function Description Shell: a few very light scratches can be seen on the shell's wrap; the badge has a few very light scuff marks on it Heads: the batter head shows light to moderate wear from normal use while the bottom head just shows some light scratches and scuff marks; the metal tabs of the strainer have some scuff marks on scratches on them, but all the strands are completely intact Rims and Hardware: the lugs all move properly and look fantastic; the lug housings and clutch/throw-off are all securely attached to the shell and just have some very light scratches; the knob for the dampener has some obvious scratches on it as well as couple of tiny chips in the finish; the rims are not bent and just show some very light scratches on them Includes: 5" x 14" snare drum (stand and case/gig bag not included) Features5" x 14" (depth x diameter)5-ply maple shell with 3-ply maple ringsEmerald green pearl wrapBeavertail 8-lug profileChrome rims and hardwareAdjustable dampenerPuresound 20-strand snare wiresRemo Pinstripe coated batter headRemo Ambassador resonant headWeight: 7 lbs. 10 oz.Made in Dayton, Ohio, U.S.A.
